Achieve effortless OTR tyre inspections for your mining operations with Pitcrew Autonomous Inspection System ‘AIS’.
In the last 12 months:
TRUSTED BY
AIS detects early hotspots from tyre separations that aren’t visible to the naked eye or traditional methods.
Pitcrew is rapidly deployed, fleet agnostic, self-contained and installed on the side of the haul road.
The system can inspect every machine without needing the vehicle to stop. Each tyre is scanned every time the truck passes and inspection data is collected in the dashboard alerting of any tyre injury.
and increase the productivity of your site with Pitcrew.
Balancing safety and productivity is crucial for mining operations managers. Pitcrew’s autonomous inspection systems enhance fleet uptime and improve worker safety by detecting repairable tyre damage early.

While TPMS tracks air pressure and chamber temperature, Pitcrew AIS monitors external tread temperature and identifies tyre damage.
Together, they enhance fleet safety, improve productivity, and reduce total ownership costs by detecting tyre problems early.
Curious about how Pitcrew AI can protect your tyres, people and your bottom line?
Pitcrew AIS is a self-contained unit powered by solar and battery. It includes all necessary equipment like sensors, cameras, and data processing systems. No additional infrastructure is required, making installation quick and easy. For locations with limited sunlight, we offer alternative power options.
Our team of experts collaborates closely with you during the initial site assessment to determine the ideal placement and setup of the Pitcrew AI system. This ensures optimal performance and maximum benefit for your operation.
Pitcrew AIS is designed for large rigid dump trucks (RDT) with a standard six-wheel configuration.
Pitcrew AIS is designed for minimal human intervention. Routine maintenance is limited to monthly cleaning of solar panels and the camera enclosure. The system includes remote monitoring and automated alerts for any issues, such as low battery or equipment malfunctions.
While our system initially focused on rear tyre monitoring due to higher failure rates, we now offer front and rear tyre thermal detection as standard. Additionally, an optical camera can be added for visual recording, though it doesn't currently analyse tyre faults. This flexibility allows you to customise the system to your specific needs.
